Site monitoring platform

See every terminal, gate and dock in one place

Nordvik started as a freight forwarder. Watching our own warehouses turned into a platform our clients now use for theirs — live feeds, telemetry and retention that holds up when an insurer asks questions.

What the platform does

Live site feeds

Continuous video from cameras at warehouses, terminals and production sites. Streams are pulled over a single long-lived session per site, so a dropped link resumes instead of restarting.

Retention that survives audits

Footage is kept for 30 to 365 days depending on the plan. Every export is logged with operator, time range and destination.

Telemetry alongside video

Gate sensors, weighbridge readings, temperature in reefer zones — collected on the same channel as the video feed and timestamped against it.

Works on thin uplinks

Remote terminals rarely have good connectivity. Feeds degrade gracefully and backfill once the link recovers, rather than dropping the segment entirely.

Why we built it

A pallet goes missing between the gate and the dock. The camera was recording, but the recorder in the office had overwritten the day, and nobody noticed the disk had been full since spring. That happened to us in 2021, and it cost a client relationship.

We moved recording off the sites entirely: cameras push to us, we keep the footage, and the site keeps working even when its uplink does not. Other forwarders asked whether they could use it too. Since 2023 that is a product — more about the company.
