Common questions
How is traffic billed?
It is not. Feeds run continuously by design — billing you per gigabyte would mean charging you for cameras doing their job. The plan covers ingest, retention and playback.
What happens when a site loses connectivity?
The recorder keeps buffering locally and backfills once the link returns, up to 72 hours. Longer than that and the gap stays a gap — we would rather tell you than quietly invent footage.
Can we keep specific footage past retention?
Yes. Mark a time range and it is held outside the retention window until you release it. Incident footage under insurance review usually lives there.
Do you support our existing cameras?
Usually. Anything that can push over HTTP works; for older analogue installations we supply a small encoder that sits between the DVR and the uplink.
